220/366: Sharing the Music

Last week we were given a keyboard for the boys.

This Little Man enjoys hard rock style and if he is in a crowd, he will have to turn the volume up all the way.

Good to know.

Oh, and now LM needs headphones so he can rock out.

198/366: Sink, Float and Fireworks

Little Man requested a bath last night. It was so hot in our non air conditioned home, that I could have added ice cubes and they'd melt in seconds.

Instead, he decided to dump his Lego figures in and see if they would float or sink. We learned that the pants float, but the heads sink.

With his newly diagnosed epilepsy, I sat on my bed (in front of the fan) and watched him play.

Then it happened.

He requested a Katy Perry song. Of course I went immediately to iTunes.

Firework.

And I played it. Then louder. Then on repeat.

Over and over and over.

Both boys requested it again this evening. You see, we spent some time at Dave & Busters and walked out with a disco ball and two fiber optic light thingies.

We now have a party room. Complete with lights, Mario Kart and Katy Perry.

It's only a $2 cover on Monday nights.

43/366: Whitney

We all know the famous songs, but this collection of ballads include songs I have never heard.  I wish she could have taken her own words to heart.  Possibly changing the direction of her life from drugs to sobriety.

25/366: Audra Mae

I am having a love affair.

With the Sons of Anarchy.

All of them.  The big jawed one to the chubby one and most importantly, the hot one.

One episode used this a version of Forever Young with Audra Mae.  The video is random bikers, not the Sons.

Love it.

BNL Bad Day

The Barenaked Ladies have a great Children's Album called Snacktime.  The songs are true to the BNL exciting, funny and up tempo style.  One song has caught my heart, Bad Day.

Now don't get all down thinking that I'm down in the dumps, I'm not, I just LOVE this song.  The BNL version is so much better - I just don't know how to get that on to a blog from a CD, new computer, rights and all.  So this will do, this guy does a fairly good job and if you google BNL Snacktime, you can hear some of the live clips from the BNL tour.

If you have a child on your Christmas List and need something different...this is GREAT!  Parents will even enjoy it, and by enjoy it, I mean not tear your eye balls out when the kids request 'children's music'.

Ukulele + Bohemian Rhapsody = Best 6 minutes of my Day

You must watch this, even if you aren't a fan of Bohemian Rhapsody.  It runs for 6 minutes or so, the additional time is a commercial for Rolex.

Amazing.  Around the 3 minute mark, Shimabukuro's fingers dance on the strings.  Absolutely beautiful.

He is right, if we all played the Ukulele, this would be a better world.

Yes, I Sometimes Read Perez Hilton

Shocking, isn't it? Let's just call me diverse.

And it really isn't reading, right? More like looking, gawking, comparing, getting disgusted, etc.

Perez Hilton does find some cool musicians and posts a lot of music videos. Hey, they should have a tv channel that shows music videos all day long. Wouldn't that be amazing? They could call it something like, well, hmm...I got it...Music Television! What a concept.

Check out this cute video. I love the boys, chubby ones are my favorite. This song is very Beatle-like.

Take That: Up All Night.
