199/366: Rain, Finally

Most people stay inside when it rains.  Not me.

Rain makes for some amazing photographs.

Every year I complain about how hot I am.  Luckily, I only have another two weeks at work, tied to this desk as the afternoon sun beats through my curtains like a cancer.

The rain.  It was good.  Didn't help our humidity, but the plants enjoyed it, even for a short time.

And the boys?  Of course they wanted to go outside the minute it started and waited in the garage ready to pounce.

60/366: Crochet A Long Week Two

Week Two of the Bernat Crochet-a-Long is complete!  There is still time to join, as all the clues are posted here.

This was an interesting octagon.  The flower in the center is a bit raised, kind of cool.  A couple folks dropped out because they don't like flowers and some because it was just too hard.  The new clue we got today, looks even more confusing.

Tomorrow, I am starting Micro March.  All month, I'm going to feature macro/micro photography.  My Nikon calls it a Micro lens.  Canon calls it a Macro lens.

Since I am a Nikon girl (now), it's Micro March.

After a slew of emails and a return, I got my Micro lens for Christmas and haven't really had the opportunity to play with it as much as I have wanted.

Micro March...tomorrow.

14/366: A New Lens

My husband got me a great new lens for my camera that I had highlighted.  Only it didn't work with my camera, so I exchanged it for one that did.  It came to me on Wednesday and I can't wait to really get into it.  It is for really close up photos.  I love how close I can get and the photo still firing.

Really, really close.  The soft blur all around is super cool.  Love love.

You know what else I love?  That boy up there.  The cool rocker with the headband.  I love that heart of his.  And Tom reminded me the other day that this boy is the original long eyelash boy.  They amaze me at every blink.

Today is the last day to include your comment for a chance to win a felt heart!  See this post to enter.
